About Me
I come with three decades of experience in education as a teacher, departmental head and digital lead.
My background is a creative one. Following a degree in English & European Literature at the University of Warwick, I began my working life as an actor before translating my experience of the professional theatre into a school environment.
Innovation has always been at the heart of my work, whether in my theatre practice, my academic classroom or, more recently, in instructional design.
In 2006, I introduced a Moodle to the drama department before rolling it out to the whole school. Having grown my experience with other VLEs, I went on to design an infrastructure based around the Google Suite, which places collaborative learning at the heart of the student experience.

As a Google Level 2 Educator, I have now trained many teachers in its use and developed their confidence in the rapidly evolving world of digital learning.
​
I am a passionate believer in a blended approach to teaching and I have wide experience in working with departments across the curriculum to create bespoke online material to complement classroom work.
​
Recently, I partnered with Lexplore to bring ground breaking eye-tracking technology to schools wishing to improve literacy levels.
